Business before Pleasure:

What inspired you to write your first book? Funny but I was helping a friend with a story. A few hours later this whole story played out right in front of my eyes.

How much real life do you put into or influences your books? None, I want to write stories to help people escape real life.

What is the hardest part of writing for you? Staying on just one story.

What are your current projects? I am writing the sequel to In a Stranger’s Hands.

How do you go about choosing the title for your book(s)? I bounce names off a friend of mine.

What is your favorite genre to write? I should say erotica but as long as there is romance I am happy with whatever.

Generally, how long does it take you to complete a book from idea to handing it over to your publisher? That is a hard question. This one took a few weeks but one I am doing revisions on has been in the works for a few months

Do your travel to research for your book(s)? I wish.

Did you learn anything while writing your book(s)? I did. I learned that I can write erotica. When it got to the good part I cantacted Lucy and was like I can’t do this!! This is me, I can’t write that. Thanks to her I did and I found out I am good at it.

Have you ever had an idea for a book but never written it and what is it? Several, the basic idea. A demon and angel have a child which is a no no. It is looked down on because it is told that a child born of both worlds would bring and end to their war. Neither side wanted to risk the child picking the otherside. So her parents hide her and she is raise by demon hunters. It is a story of learning that even if your story is already told you can always rewrite it.

When writing, do you have a process? I don’t.

Do you have any advice for new authors looking to make their own literary statement? Lord this is a hard one. Never limit yourself to what you know you can write. Go outside your comfort zone, it could end up being the worst thing you do BUT it could also be the BEST.

How many books have you written? Do you have a particular favorite? I have only typed THE END on 2 books. Favorite I couldn’t pick as they are so different.

Where do your ideas come from? The voices in my head.

How many books do you currently have published? 1

Are you working on anything right now? yes

Do you have a favorite Hero or Heroine from any of your books and why? I love Gavin.. he is the tall, dark stranger that has a heart of gold

Do you have anything you would like to say to your current readers or to those that haven’t yet read your work(s)? To my readers Thank YOU. When I started out it was to escape my own head and I hope I helped you to do that at least for a little while. to the one who have yet to read my stories. Sprouting from the endless flat red dirt is a dust coated metal shack, the clang of metal on metal marking each breath of air that happens to snort in its direction. The whole area looks abandoned. If this place is a bust, I dread the walk into town. With my luck it’ll end up being a ghost town. I can see it now, just like the movies where the cowboys are about to have a shootout. The streets bare and a tumbleweed rolling between them. On the bright side, it will at least have shade.

On the walk up to the shed I get a feeling of dread, like something isn’t right here. What kind of person lives in a place like this? I will tell you who, my mind informs me, serial killers. I have to force myself to walk up to the edge of the property.  Where I am able to get a better look at the place that I hope is my salvation. My hope is all but gone at the sight.

The building is nothing more than rusted tin nailed onto 2x4s.  As I get closer I noticed signs of all types hanging on the outside it. Oil, Gas companies, part suppliers. They all had a sign up there. The building would look abandoned if it wasn’t for the lights being on. There are also several cars sitting around. Maybe I had lucked upon someone who can actually help me and not just by giving me a ride into town.  I decide to see if anyone is inside the place.

“Excuse me is anyone around?” I yelled into the open door because I didn’t want to just walk in. With the sun setting lower in the sky and no one answering, I start thinking this may have been a bad idea. After waiting for a couple of minutes I decide it is hopeless and this place is just getting creepier by the minute. As I start to walk off, I hear a noise over on the side of the building and I go to check it out, in case it was whoever owned the place.

When I turn the corner, a large black dog jumps out of the shadows toward me. Screaming I stumble back right into a masculine chest. “Is there a reason you are sneaking around the side of my building?” demands the deepest sexiest voice I have ever heard. Turning around to get out of the man’s reach I get a little too close to the demon dog. Only to miss getting caught by his claws by inches  because sexy voice grabbed me and pulled me to safety. “Calm down woman before you get yourself killed!” As he pulls me around the building I try to dig my heels in the dirt. I can’t let this guy just drag me off. “My friends know where I am! They will come looking for me. You had better let me go.” I have to come up with a way to escape this man. “If I am right, no one knows you’re here and the car broke down a few miles back would be yours.” Crap lie. I have to lie is the only thought going through my mind. Only bad part is, I have never been that great of a liar.
