A little about the Story: Eunice has a bad break up with Cobweb and throws a major Tantrum. He being apart of the Hell’s Angels MC, she walks away knowing they will come after her. Little did she know, they weren’t the only ones & how drastically her life would change.

Lena’s Opinion

Pros- I Love this Short Story. Humor in the mist of danger. Sarcastic Humor at that. She is being attacked by something and instead of screaming frantically, she is trying to figure out what it could be and how to get out of the situation. Eunice is my kinda girl. I would like to say more but it is a short story and I don’t want to give anything more away.

Cons- It’s A Short Story lol Not really a Con except, I wanted to read MORE!

If you like Short Stories and Want a Good One, Add this one to your TBR but seriously Read it.

I Give this Story 4 Stars☆☆☆☆

Loving Heart coming soon!

I didn’t escape.

He overpowered me.

I lost the battle and suffered an unspeakable betrayal at the hands of the man I once called my father.

Not knowing the truth, my husband was part of the plan.

They destroyed my life.

They destroyed my being.

But, I still loved Michael…unconditionally.

This baby I carry is my Savior.

He’s everything I always wanted and everything I will ever need.

Something in my past is revealed and the shocking truth turns my world upside down…again.

My entire childhood obliterated before my eyes.

I forgave Michael.

I needed him.

At least I thought I did, until someone from my past walked back into my life.

My feelings are torn, so is my love for Michael.

Maybe the future holds more for me and my baby.

Maybe HE and the baby are all I need.

Can HE bring the  peace and love I need to heal my open wounds?

Or will Michael and I finally get our happily ever after?

Or will this new man destroy us both?

Excerpt:
After a bland dinner at the B&B, Danny decided to soak up a little local culture and ale. He had spotted a pub on his way home from the Historical Society earlier and visited it now. The Cock and The Rock was a traditional pub, full of wood, brass and rowdy locals, and smelled of worn leather, molding carpets, greasy pub grub and stale spilled beer. It was exactly how he had envisioned it from the outside. Trying to ignore the awed stares of the patrons, Danny strode up to the bar and casually placed his hands atop it.

The barman eyed him suspiciously and immediately turned his back to adjust glasses that already stood in neatly lined rows. Danny sat on an empty stool and then turned to his right, toward the eyes he felt boring into him. A white-haired man with a deeply wrinkled face smiled slightly.

“Gerry,” the man said as he extended his hand.

“Danny,” he offered, as he shook Gerry’s hand.

“MacMillan,” Gerry finished as he nodded. “The whole town’s been yapping about you. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Thank you.”

Danny waved a hand to get the attention of the barman. The portly man practically stomped the two steps he took to draw closer to Danny. He then stared irritably, his face pulled into a grimace.

“What is it you want then?”

Danny noted the man’s abruptness but decided not to react to it.

“A pint of whatever is local and good.”

“We’re not the only pub in town, you know. You might want to head to one that is more welcoming to your kind.”

Danny could not help but scowl now. The barman was being purposely insulting and he felt his ears burn in anger.

“And what ‘kind’ would that be?”

“The boorish American kind, intent on twisting Scottish history for money.”

Danny’s brow furrowed as his ire rose. “I have no intention of doing so. I seek merely to provide a modern look at a horrible tragedy from Paisley’s past.”

“Nothing good ever comes from dredging up the past,” the man practically spat.

He moved away, turning his back, and again unnecessarily adjusted the glasses on the shelf behind the bar. Shaking his head at the man’s rudeness, Danny put his hands on the bar to get up. Gerry placed a hand on Danny’s forearm and shook his head.

“Don’t let him get to you. He’s always been a grumpy bastard. Everyone else I know is overjoyed that you’ve chosen to come here.”

Gerry then banged a fist on the bar top to get the barman’s attention.

“Mickey, bring this young man a pint and put it on my tab.”

Danny waved a hand at Gerry as he shook his head.

“That’s completely unnecessary. I can buy my own drinks.”

“Don’t be silly,” Gerry countered, “everyone wants to buy a pint for the great writer. Enjoy it, son.”

Danny dipped his head in thanks as Mickey unceremoniously thumped an overflowing pint glass down in front of him. He then raised his glass to Gerry who mirrored the motion. They both sipped from their glasses then put them down. Gerry looked about the bar a bit and then tugged on Danny’s sleeve.

“It would appear you have a fan here tonight.”

Danny looked in the direction in which Gerry had motioned and saw a Scottish version of Lacy from LA sitting at a table, flirting mercilessly with him. Danny turned back to Gerry and nodded graciously.

“Thanks again for the beer.”

He then smoothly sauntered off to approach the giggling woman. His back to the bar, Danny missed the pleasant look on Gerry’s face turn malevolent and the conspiratorial look that Gerry then shared with Mickey.

Aviary Photo_130926068567142205“Dammit, son of a bitch!”

The female voice came from his right, followed by the resounding slamming of a car door. The sound dragged his attention to the red coupe that was parked at the very end of the row of parked cars he had just passed. In an instant, his class was forgotten, so was the fact that he was late because, at that moment, his eyes had fallen on one very nicely rounded ass. It was conveniently turned upward for his perusal as the owner bent over to check out whatever was wrong under the hood of her car. Unbidden, his wayward eyes traveled downward, to inspect the shapely pair of legs that were attached to that fine ass. They were covered in skin fitting jeans at the moment but he could only imagine that they were just as tasty as the ass was.

Just then, the owner of the sexy ass and legs straightened, allowing a curtain of thick, dark hair to fall over her shoulders. “Damn you, you piece ‘o shit!” potty-mouth said, kicking the hood of the car for good measure, then screamed, hopping on one foot, “Ouch! Dammit.”

A rumbling chuckle escaped him. He couldn’t help it—her display of frustration with the poor car was hilarious although it was also cute as hell. “Hey! Easy there, killer,” he called out to her, turning off his designated path and heading in her direction. “What seems to be the problem?”

The hopping ended as soon as he spoke and she spun in the direction of his voice at the speed of lightning. As he neared her, he could see the hint of a flush that tinted her lovely caramel skin. Clearly she hadn’t known she had an audience. “Ah, hi,” she said, shoving her hands into the pockets of her jeans. “Did you…did you hear that?”

Jason grinned. “Sure did. Poor car didn’t stand a chance.”

A soft chuckle erupted from her lips, drawing his attention to the full, lip-gloss covered pair. Damn! He thought. Lips like those could bring a man to his fucking knees without even trying.

“Sorry ’bout that. Stupid machine always dies at the wrong moment. Just pisses me off, you know?”

“Yeah, that blows. Mind if I take a look at it?” Tossing his back-pack to the ground, he began moving toward the hood before she had a chance to respond.

“Um, I guess so,” she said noncommittally. “Knock yourself out.”

It took him less than five minutes to locate what was wrong with the car. He wasn’t a mechanic but he’d literally grown up inside a garage because his father had always been into cars. The older man had taught him a thing or two about working his way around an engine.

“Looks like you might have a busted valve,” he told her.

“Shit! Is…is that terrible?”

He glanced over his shoulder, chuckling a little when he noticed the bafflement on her pretty face. “Nah, you’ll live,” he assured her. “I’m gonna go get my tool kit, though. Be right back, okay?”

She nodded as he jogged off in the direction of his car. Ten minutes later, he’d patched up the valve but he knew it probably wouldn’t hold very long the way it was.

“Okay, start her up.”

She hopped behind the wheel and was soon cranking the engine. It rumbled a little then sputtered to life.

“Yes!” she fairly shouted, hopping out of the car again without shutting off the engine. “Oh my God, you’re a life saver! Thank you so much.”

Jay wiped his hands on the rag he kept inside his tool kit, then closed the hood before turning to her. Damn, but she was a stunner. The gentle breeze played in her hair, causing it to whip against her cheek like a drape of dark silk. Her peculiar hazel eyes gleamed like cut glass in the stark sunlight, making him feel as though he could see her soul in their depths.

“Hey, don’t sweat it,” he said, trying to shake the uncanny feeling that had come over him as he stared into her eyes. “It was no problem at all. You probably shouldn’t drive it too far like this though. I’m not sure if what I did will last very long.”

She stuck her hands into her back pockets and grinned sheepishly. Unbelievably, the gesture made her even prettier. “Don’t worry, I won’t. I’ve got an interview a few blocks from here that I need to get to but right after that this piece o’ junk is headed straight to the shop.”

“Yeah? I thought you were a student here.” He was more than a little disappointed and the statement came out sounding more like a question.

“Oh, yeah, I am. Some of us just have to work to pay our way, you know?” Her words were flippant and she tried to seem all blasé about it, but Jay could tell she wasn’t as comfortable about it as she wanted him to believe. But then, he could totally relate to that situation. After all, he was one of those people.

He offered what he hoped was a reassuring smile and extended his hand. “Welcome to the club, sweetheart. I’m Jayson, by the way, Jayson Tacoma. Or just Jay if you like.”

She glanced down at his hand briefly, as if not sure what to do with it. Then he felt velvet soft skin sliding against his as she wrapped her fingers around his much longer ones. “Hey, Jayson, or Just Jay,” she joked, returning my smile shyly. “It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I’m Samya Delgado, but just Mya is fine.”

I am amazed at this authors writing skills. For a short story I am in awww. The story feels longer than 90 pgs. The details and emotions are strong and leave you with that book hangover feeling, but no cliffhangers. Can’t wait for the next book.

Burning Submission is an erotic suspense and the first in “The Submission Series”.
This was my first read from J. Richards and I absolutely loved it, I read it in one sitting.

Vicki is a strong female who has a bad encounter at Gavin’s fitness club. He comes to her defense and they have an instant attraction.
Vicki has several other things happen to her that causes her to stay with Gavin for a few days.
To her delight Gavin shares with her that he is a Dominant and is in the BDSM lifestyle.

Will Vicki’s fantasy finally be fulfilled? Will Gavin be able to control himself?

This is a great erotic read. I loved the friends, dog and the hot Dom. They all added a great element to the story. Thank you J. Richards for a great read.

Holy cow! Could J. Richards get any hotter as a writer? This was a great book, and a bit more in depth, plot wise, than Yes, Sir. There’s a lot of tension between the Vicki and Gavin, and the stalking plot adds even more tension to the book. This is a really hot read!
