What inspired you to write your first book? It was a writing competition back in September 2010. A friend had entered, and I thought to myself, why not give it a go. I’ve always told stories in my head for as long as I can remember, I just hadn’t written them down, so this was my chance. I wrote the first chapter in a day, and fired it off. Naturally, I didn’t get very far in that competition, but I knew I had to finish the story, so I did. Then I entered NaNoWriMo that year, and wrote another one. In fact that was the beginning of a trilogy, The Giovanni Clan. After that, I just haven’t stopped writing. J

Oh, and that original competition entry. After many re-writes and a change of publisher it’s now The Housewife and the Film Star, and still my favorite story ever. Well, it was my first, so that makes it extra special, you know.

How much real life do you put into or influences your books? It depends what I’m writing. Sometimes a real life event will spark something, and find its way into one of my stories, but mostly they just come from my murky mind, lol. Of course we’re all influenced by life around us, but I don’t make a conscious decision to base my stories on anything in real life.

The exception being when they are BDSM stories. I feel it is very important to portray the lifestyle correctly, and while there is no one way to live the lifestyle, there are certain, basic safety rules that you will always find in my stories.

One of the greatest compliments one of my editors ever gave me was. “I always know I get a real BDSM story from you, not what passes as such these days.”

Can you tell it’s a bit of a bug bear of mine? *smiles*

What is the hardest part of writing for you? It used to be finding the time, but with my youngest now at school full time, that’s not the case anymore. I guard that writing time quite fiercely.

I suppose my muse can make writing hard, as she is very overactive little thing that bombards me with new ideas all the time. I have a very loooong list of story ideas….

What are your current projects? I have just finished my first dragon story, which ought to be ready for submission later this week. Then I have an anthology project to write, and complete my mid-December. After that, I have several series that need completing, or the next instalment written. We will see what my muse will throw at me.

How do you go about choosing the title for your book(s)? I usually have the title first, and they just come to me. It’s not a conscious decision. Occasionally I’ll start a story without one, but that is rare. I need a title and I’ll go from there.

What is your favorite genre to write? If I had to pick just one it would be Shifter BDSM. I just love those growly, over possessive Alpha Doms. J Having said that I write all sorts. *points to overactive muse*

Generally, how long does it take you to complete a book from idea to handing it over to your publisher? Depends on the length. I can write a 10K anthology piece in two/three days.  A 50K novella in three weeks or less. It all depends on how motivated I am. I aim for a release a month, roughly. Some months I have several J

Do you ever use someone in your life as a sounding board for ideas or do you prefer to work alone? My husband brainstorms my story ideas with me. He also reads all my rough drafts, much to his never ending amusement, cause, ya know….typo central. He’s invaluable for the male POV, as he’ll pull me up on something if I get it wrong.

Then there is my good friend, and honorary grandma to my youngest Raven McAllan, who beta reads all of my stories, and vice versa.

We have a collaboration releasing December 7th in fact. The Dukes’ Christmas Abductions, which is a Time Travel Regency, which we had so much fun with. We’re planning on some other joint stories soon.

Do your travel to research for your book(s)? Does visiting Raven in Scotland count? Lol I don’t as such, no, but after a holiday in Cumbria, I set an entire series (The Protectors) there. I prefer to set my stories somewhere I know. Though I quizzed Raven extensively about a honeymoon destination in The Billionaire’s Unwanted Virgin, as she’d just been on holiday to that location.

Did you learn anything while writing your book(s)? Yes, lots. I’m a firm believer in research, so it has opened my mind to quite a few things, not least the BDSM lifestyle. It was a very frank discussion with my husband, after I wrote my first ‘kinky’ story that led to embracing our kinky sides, if you will.

We have always lived a D/s dynamic to a certain degree, but it was only after twenty years of marriage that we fully embraced it. I’m now his collared submissive, and he’s Sir in the bedroom, at least. With small children underfoot we have to be discreet.

Have you ever had an idea for a book but never written it and what is it?Yes, I even have a title. Ménage in a Monastery. It’s a MMFM story, and I think at the time I just wasn’t quite ready to write it. I will one day!

When writing, do you have a process? Get comfy on my bed, shut the door, open my word doc. Write.  It’s as simple as that. I need peace and quiet to write nowadays, and I can get a lot done in a short space of time like that.

Do you have any advice for new authors looking to make their own literary statement? Write the stories on your heart. Don’t talk about it, just do it. Accept that rejections are a part of any writer’s life, especially when you first start off, and be prepared for your writing to suck—big time! Practice makes perfect, however. The more you write the better at it you will be.

And above all, write because you NEED to write. If you haven’t got that inbuilt drive, then you’re not a writer. Write for yourself first and foremost, and the rest will fall into place.

How many books have you written? Do you have a particular favorite? As I mentioned previously The Housewife and the Film Star remains me favorite. However, I fall hopelessly in love with each and every one of my characters, so whatever book I am writing at the time will be my favorite, if that makes sense.

As for how many… sixty one and counting J

Why did you choose to use a publisher instead of self-publishing? I just want to write.  Once I submitted the story to my publisher they take care of the rest. The Promo side of things is bad enough, quite frankly. I like the simplicity of using a publisher, and I have two awesome publishers who make the whole process very easy.

Where do your ideas come from? How long is a piece of a string, lol? Literally anything can spark a story, though more often than not, it’s a picture. I write flashes on my blog every Tuesday and Friday, and I can’t even begin to tell you, how many of my stories started from either a two hundred or one hundred word flash.

How many books do you currently have published? Fifty seven and three coming soon J

Are you working on anything right now? I’m always working on something.

Do you have a favorite Hero or Heroine from any of your books and why?

Sven and Sylvia from The Housewife and the Film Star, because they were my very first h/h.

Do you have anything you would like to say to your current readers or to those that haven’t yet read your work(s)? Thanks for reading J

What was the worst job you ever had while working towards being a published author? I don’t know about it being my worst job, but I was a cleaner for a time to make ends meet. *shrugs* I’m not beyond getting my hands dirty. A job is a job at the end of the day.

What would be your next best choice if not writing as a career? Got it already, being a full time wife and mother J

If I wasn’t any of those things, than I dare say I would have become a nurse. I love taking care of people.

Remembering a Burlesque Class she’d attended for research into a story a few years ago, she closed her eyes, and swung her hips to imaginary seductive music. Kim ran her hands slowly up underneath the hem of her blouse, exposing minute amounts of skin in slow motion, while continuing the sway of her hips.

Asger’s sharp intake of breath spurred her on. Letting go of the blouse she ran her hands over her breasts, cupping each heavy mound until she could thumb her own nipples. Shivers of delight chased across her skin, and her clit contracted in need.

A Norse curse made her open her eyes to find Asger had retreated to the stairs. Sitting down, with his legs spread wide, he watched her through hungry eyes, as he stroked his dick in slow moves mirroring the speed of her hands on her tits.

Emboldened she danced closer, slowly unbuttoning her blouse until it fell from her shoulders, and she threw it across to him. Asger caught it with a grin, and the bra that followed.

Seeing him lift the lacy contraption up to his nose and inhale deeply made Kim lose her stride. That was just so damn sexy, as was the way his cock jumped in his hand. The thick head glistened in pre-cum, and Kim licked her lips, desperate to taste him again.

A deep rumble rose from Asger’s chest. She tore her gaze away from the sight of his cock, ran it up the ridges that made up his abdomen, over the ink gracing his side and chest into the bearded column of his neck, and the proud lines of this warrior’s face up to his softly glowing eyes.

“Not that slow, kona. I want to see my cunt. I want to see it weep with its dew, ready for my tongue and my cock. I want to taste you, devour you, until your only thought is me. I want you.”

“God, yes, please, I want that, too.”

All finesse went out of the window as Kim unsnapped her jeans and yanked them down her legs, taking her sodden underwear with them. She stumbled in her haste to kick off her shoes and her jeans, and braced herself for impact. Instead of the floorboards coming to greet her, however, she found herself on the stairs draped over Asger’s knees. The first sharp slap of his hand on her ass cheeks stung like crazy.

“Ow, what was … ow.”

A second and third swat followed interspersed by the deep, menacing growl of his wolf. The vibrations of that sound trembled through her body and settled straight in her clit, so that the fourth, fifth, and sixth swats didn’t hurt. They set her ass on fire, for sure, but the pain added to her arousal. Again and again those blows came, until she lifted her butt into each one, and moaned her denial when he stopped. She was dimly aware of being lifted and the feel of the stairs carpet under her knees and forearms, as Asger moved her into position as though she weighed nothing.  In this position cool air rushed across her swollen pussy lips.

“So beautiful with your red ass, and wet, sweet cunt. I want you to scream when you come against my tongue, do you hear me, kona? All the way up these stairs, and if you’re a good girl, you will get my cock. If not…”

Kim gasped and her knees buckled at the first bold swipe of Asger’s rough tongue along her exposed slit, and Asger chuckled into her swollen labia.

“We will just have to start all over again.”

Her clit quivered in need, and yet more of her juices trickled down the inside of her thighs. Asger lapped them up with an appreciative rumble, and then swatted her ass.

“Start crawling up one step, kona. I want to be comfortable for my meal of fresh cunt.

Oh, good lord. Is he going to make me crawl up these stairs with him eating me out? I’m never going to survive this.

Somehow she managed to follow that command, and several more licks of his far too talented tongue were her reward. Kim groaned and moaned as he took her up the rungs of arousal with every step they managed that way. When she slipped, his hands dug into her hips to hold her still, and seemingly satisfied with her, he renewed his efforts. Up and down her slit he lapped up her arousal. He nibbled and teased, and when he ran his tongue up to her anus and circled the tight ring of muscle, while simultaneously pushing two fingers into her wet channel, Kim did scream. Asger finger-fucked her with devastating precision, curling his digits until he found the spot designed to drive her wild with need.

Kim tensed, shook, and then exploded as her orgasm burst from her with an intensity that took her breath away, as his tongue breached her anus. With her ass up in the air, her elbows on the stairs, and his broad shoulders supporting her body she was spread obscenely wide and unable to move—completely at the mercy of this man—as he wrung every last shudder out of her. Only then did he withdraw his fingers, and swatted her butt cheeks again several times in quick succession.

“Start crawling, kona, if you want my cock. He’s mighty eager to sink into your body, but only if you do as you’re told.”
