What inspired you to write your first book? I was inspired by something another author said about coming up to a certain age and realizing she hadn’t accomplished what she wanted to. I felt the same way, so I decided it was time to finally write like I had wanted to for so long.

How much real life do you put into or influences your books? I get a lot of inspiration from what is going on around me. I often take notes about things I hear or watch.

What is the hardest part of writing for you? Editing. I loathe editing. Part of the problem is that I set impossible deadlines for myself though.

What are your current projects? I am working on an age play story and the second story in the Cavan Gang series.

How do you go about choosing the title for your book(s)? I have always struggled with titles and I often enlist help to brainstorm titles.

What is your favorite genre to write? I love anything to do with romance, but my favorite would have to be sci-fi.

Generally, how long does it take you to complete a book from idea to handing it over to your publisher? About 8-10 weeks

Do you ever use someone in your life as a sounding board for ideas or do you prefer to work alone? I use my husband for some ideas. I don’t always agree with him though lol.

Do your travel to research for your book(s)? I went on a six week trip to the US and Canada for research which was awesome.

Did you learn anything while writing your book(s)? Lots! You are always researching and learning when you write.

Have you ever had an idea for a book but never written it and what is it?Too many ideas to list. But they are all sitting on my computer, waiting for me. I would love to write a Dystopian book one day.

When writing, do you have a process? I try to write the whole book before I go back and edit because editing as I go slows me down and interferes with my flow. Doesn’t mean I always stick to that plan, though.

Do you have any advice for new authors looking to make their own literary statement? Write. Write, write and then write some more. Finish the book. Research publishers before publishing with them.

How many books have you written? Do you have a particular favorite? My favorite is Her Old-Fashioned Boss.

Where do your ideas come from? Everywhere. What I read, what I see, what people tell me, my own personal experience.

How many books do you currently have published? 21

Are you working on anything right now? An age-play story and the second book in the Cavan Gang series.

Do you have a favorite Hero or Heroine from any of your books and why? I love Sam from Her Old-fashioned Boss. He was a really fun character to write.

Do you have anything you would like to say to your current readers or to those that haven’t yet read your work(s)? Big thank you to all my readers, I couldn’t do any of this without you. You’re all amazing.
